The Fitbit Versa Device

You probably come across the Fitbit Ionic smartwatch that debuted about five months ago, right? If not, here are some of the main points. It cost $300. It has a battery life of about four days. It can track all your steps, distance, even going so far as to track even your heart rate. All that data is synced to the Fitbit app which visualizes your activities. It seems like it can’t get better right? Well, guess what, it just did! Fitbit has confirmed its third attempt at making a fantastic smartwatch. The Fitbit versa is set to be released in April. The first advantage that it has over its predecessor is that it is much cheaper. It will retail at $200 which will be $50 less expensive than Apple’s entry-level watch! The Fitbit versa is a much more slender, cheaper and more improved Ionic. It looks almost like the pebble time, a startup that Fitbit purchased in 2016.

The versa will have a four-day guarantee of power and will monitor heart rate. The versa will, however, do something extra as it will have a fifty-meter water resistance feature, it will store music on board, and it will be compatible with almost hundreds of watch faces and apps. It will lack GPS though, a feature present in the Ionic. It will be the not quite square, not quite circle design, the squircle. According to Fitbit CEO James Park, the versa will come with a women’s menstrual cycle tracking app. The feature will be introduced in an upcoming software update that will be acceptable to other Fitbit devices. The app will help women find a direct correlation between their body workout routines and menstrual cycle.

The versa will also come with a wide range of choices. It has an aluminum design that will come with colors such as silver, rose gold and black. The bands will be a choice between new silicon, steel link, leather, and Milanese mesh style, knit and woven ones. It will also have quick replies to messages that can be customized according to owner’s specifications. However, this feature will only be available to Android users. It will replace the Fitbit blaze, the very first smartwatch product of Fitbit. Both the versa and the Ionic will get a vamped up operating system. The new OS will have added fitness data. This will allow users to measure things like heart rate at rest and recent workouts. In short, it is the best Fitbit product so far, so keep on looking out for it.
