Mitch McConnell is under attack for his years of political incompetence and corruption. Mitch likes to make under the table deals to feather his own nest. He made a deal with a Russian aluminum tycoon to build a factory in one of Kentucky’s high-rate of unemployment areas. Mitch made sure legislation to sanction the aluminum tycoon never made it through the Senate. Pelosi calls him Moscow Mitch for that move sleazy move, according to the New York Times.
Mitch doesn’t like his new nickname. But he likes the nickname his Republican minions gave him after killing all the legislation the Democrats sent him. He’s the Grim Reaper who lets gun legislation sit for six months because he said the president wouldn’t sign it. Mitch is up for reelection. McConnell thinks being a political-dinosaur and Trump-lover will keep him in office.
Boris Johnson’s government threw him to the curb for trying to go around Parliament in order to leave the EU without a signed deal. Parliament voted to stop him from executing a hard Brexit. So Johnson told Parliament he wants an election October 15th. Parliament put that idea in their trash bins too. The British Trump may be the shortest-serving prime minister in British history if he keeps listening to Trump’s advice about Brexit, according to the Associated Press.
Mr. Trump thinks his latest round of tariffs made Liu He, China’s chief negotiator, call Bob Lighthizer to set up a meeting. The meeting will be in October, but there’s no firm date. Mr. Trump knows the trade talks could make or break his reelection chances. The Chinese know Trump needs to make a deal, but according to the Chinese news agency, Mr. Trump will have to make concessions in order for Liu He to sign any deal. Trump’s great economy keeps going in the wrong direction thanks to his tariff wars, according to Time.
