Boris Jumps With Joy But Scotland Wants To Jump Off His Brexit Train

Melania didn’t like it when one of the constitutional scholars brought her son’s Baron’s name into the impeachment fiasco. The scholar pointed out Trump’s desire to turn America’s democracy into a monarchy. She used Baron’s name to prove Trump wants to create a modern-day political dynasty with its own set of rules.

Mrs. Trump told the press her husband gets a pass when it comes to bullying children. Trump threw shade at Greta Thunberg for winning Time’s person of the Year award. Melania talks about bullying, but it seems she makes an exception when the Trumpster crosses the line and bullies anyone who takes the global spotlight away from him.

Chuck Schumer let the Republicans know they will take a juror’s oath before the Senate trial begins. But Mitch McConnell doesn’t think that oath matters. He plans to let Trump’s lawyer run the impeachment trial. He’ll just be the puppet that relays Trump’s victim message. Schumer and other Democrats want McConnell to recuse himself, but Mitch won’t do that. His political future is in jeopardy. If Trump goes down, he goes down with him.

North Korea keeps testing rockets and missiles to show the Trumpster he needs to drop the sanctions by the end of the year. Trump sent a state department diplomat to North Korea to ease the tension. But Kim Jon Un thinks Trump keeps playing him. Kim said he’s sick of Trump’s grandstanding. He wants attention from the Trumpster. But Mr. Trump knows he can’t drop the sanctions without creating another political firestorm. Mr. Trump told Kim to calm down and wait for the right time to take part in his reality show.

The Chinese want and need a trade agreement, so Chinese negotiators agreed to buy $50 billion worth of Middle America’s farm products in 2020. That amount is more than double the amount China bought from the U.S. before Trump started his tariff war. Now that China gave farm orders to Brazil and Argentina it’s a stretch to think China will put all their farm orders in Trump’s hands.

Boris Johnson won a huge victory when the Brits threw the liberals to the curb so Boris could leave the EU with or without a signed deal. But Scotland doesn’t want to leave the EU. Scotland gained enough seats in the election to call for another vote to stay in the EU. And Northern Ireland wants to get back together with Ireland, so there’s still a lot of Brexit mud in U.K. politics.
