Marvel will have a very big presence on the new Disney+ streaming service. There is a very good reason for this. Disney owns Marvel and all of their classic characters. Therefore, it is not a surprise that Disney is using many of those characters in new series that they are creating for Disney+. The first of the Marvel and Disney+ shows will be “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.” This series takes two of the main characters from the “Avengers” and “Captain America” franchises and teams them up. The details about the plot have been a closely guarded secret. However, it was just revealed that the series has finished filming. It is set to debut on Disney+ in August.
There will be another Marvel series on Disney+ that will be debuting this year. In December, “WandaVision” will premiere. It will feature The Vision and the Scarlet Witch teaming up. Once again, the specific details of the plot are rather murky at this point. The trailers that have been released for both shows have not done much to shed some light on what exactly these shows will be about. There will most likely be more informative trailers that will be released as their debuts get closer.
Disney+ has exploded in popularity over the past few months. The number of people who signed up was much larger than even Disney expected it to be. Many of these people signed up because they wanted to see what all the hype was about surrounding “The Mandalorian.” However, it looks like there are many other great shows on the way. It was also reported recently that a new show based in the Star Wars universe will reportedly start filming at some point in 2020. Disney+ is going to be relying very heavily on Star Wars and Marvel fans to gain subscribers.
There have been a few reports on social media from people who have been on the set of “The Falcon and the Winder Soldier.” These people have shared some videos they have taken of very elaborate fight sequences. It seems like Marvel and Disney have pulled out all of the stops for this show. Disney+ does not have much adult content at the moment except for “The Mandalorian.” These Marvel shows will help to keep adults interested in the platform. Disney is apparently sparing no expense on their original shows that are for Disney+.
