Amazon Returns Can Be Made at All Kohl’s Stores

The biggest name in online commerce in the United States is teaming up with one of the biggest names in brick-and-mortar retail. It has been officially announced that customers will now be able to make their Amazon returns at every Kohl’s store in the United States. The returns will be free and can be made even if the customer no longer has the original box the item was shipped in. Kohl’s started to accept returns for Amazon items two years ago at a few dozen of its stores. This was just a test to see how the program would work. It was a huge success at those stores. Therefore, Kohl’s decided to expand the program to every one of its stores in the United States.

According to daytondailynews.com, the returns are made using the logistical network that Kohl’s already has in place. Customers have been applauding the program because they say it has made making returns to Amazon much easier than it otherwise would have been. The benefit that Kohl’s gets out of this arrangement is increased traffic in their stores. People who otherwise would not have gone to a Kohl’s store will be going there to make Amazon returns. While these people are in the store, many of them will do some shopping.

Kohl’s wants to get younger customers to shop at their stores. They feel like partnering with Amazon will be a good way to do that. The benefit to Amazon is very obvious. It gives their customers more than 1,100 places around the country where they will be able to make returns. Both sides stand to reap huge rewards from the partnership.

There are some people who believe this is just the start of more things to come for the two companies. For example, industry experts believe that it will only be a matter of time until Kohl’s starts to sell many Amazon products and services in their stores. Kohl’s has already started to partner with other companies like the Aldi grocery store chain and Planet Fitness health clubs. Kohl’s is a company that understands the benefits of teaming up with other large companies. It would not be surprising to see Kohl’s begin to lease some of the space in their stores to Whole Foods, the organic grocery store chain recently bought by Amazon. Kohl’s has announced that they want to make some of their stores smaller than they are now.
