The most important person to ever use Twitter is President Donald Trump. He has used the social media platform masterfully to slam his opponents and to promote his agenda. He was recently praised by one of the co-founders of the social media platform, Ev Williams. He said that President Trump is a genius when it comes to using Twitter. He went on to say that few others have used Twitter as successfully and to greater effect than Trump. Williams went on to say that any misleading statements made by Trump were not nearly as important as the mistakes that the mainstream media has made.
Williams said that the media will rarely criticize itself when it makes a mistake. The media will instead attack social media platforms like Twitter for dispersing fake news. He believes that it is the media and not tech platforms that are the real problem. Williams went on to say that he never imagined when he was creating Twitter that the President of the United States would be using it several times a day. He is really shocked how the platform has become so associated with the presidency of Donald Trump. He doesn’t believe this is a bad thing. In fact, he believes Trump using Twitter so often only helps to strengthen the brand.
Williams did say it is hard to determine the exact financial impact that Trump has had on Twitter since he became president in 2016. There is definitely more attention on the social media platform. But does that mean more people are creating Twitter accounts and using the service? There is no way to tell for sure. It is also impossible to figure out the exact financial benefits that Trump has had on Twitter. He certainly has not hurt the value of the company.
President Trump recently had a very public spat with his favorite social media platform. He said that Twitter was unfairly targeting conservatives. However, Twitter and Trump patched things up during a meeting in the Oval Office of the White House with Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey and members of his staff. The meeting was held at the request of President Trump. Twitter has always denied that it has a bias against conservatives. However, many of the people who have been banned recently have conservative leanings. This has only caused more people to support this conspiracy theory. There is no way to tell if they are lying.
