‘Say Cheese’: Experience Augmented reality at Magic Kingdom With Your Disney PhotoPass Photos!

Disney PhotoPass is a service offered at Walt Disney Parks and Resorts that allows guests to take pictures with characters, learn how to draw caricatures, get in the frame of their favorite Disney movies or TV shows, and more. It’s also one of the best ways for people who are visiting Orlando to experience what it feels like to be part of the magic. In addition, Disney PhotoPass now has an augmented reality (AR) app called “Say Cheese,” which lets you use your pictures! So even if you can’t make it out here any time soon, now you can see just what it would feel like when someone says “cheese” in front of Cinderella Castle.

You can add your photo to the Cinderella Castle Mural of Memories at Walt Disney World, thanks to augmented reality.

This fun new feature is made possible by Disney’s partnership with Snap, the company behind Snapchat. Let’s take a look at how it works.

First, you’ll need to make sure you have a Disney PhotoPass. This service allows you to have your photo taken by designated photographers throughout the park, or you can choose an image from a collection of Disney characters and icons.

Once you have your PhotoPass, head on to the Cinderella Castle Mural of Memories, you’ll see a sign that says, “Point your camera here.” Next, you’ll see a prompt to “view” your photo in the mural. Tap that, and voila! Your face will appear in the mural alongside Cinderella herself.

You can then use the Snap app to add fun AR filters and effects to your photo. For example, you can turn yourself into a princess or a prince, add some fairy dust, or even turn into a pumpkin! This technology will introduce children to adults to a whole new way of making their photos come to life.

So the next time you’re at Walt Disney World, be sure to check out the Cinderella Castle Mural of Memories and “Say Cheese”!
