Apple Play Comes to Amazon’s Echo Speakers

A small-scale cooperative arrangement now exists between two major tech companies. Consumers might not think Amazon’s decision to allow Echo speakers to work with Apple Music to be a big deal. However, the integration of an Apple service with Amazon technology reflects a critical arrangement. Perhaps this “small” agreement may lead to expanded deals between the two. Apple wishes to launch streamed entertainment content. Could Amazon Prime work with Apple on streaming ventures one day? Working agreements often start with small projects or deals. The Amazon Echo/Apple Play venture could lead to something much more significant down the line.

Users won’t find the process of running Apple Music on Echo speakers to be complicated. Installing the updated iOS/Android Alexa app delivers the desired results. Once the new app is in place, playing Apple Music requires nothing beyond standard app-play steps.

According to Tech Crunch, Alexa’s overall music-streaming compatibility includes scores of different services. Listeners won’t find themselves wanting. Alexa works with Spotify, Tidal, Amazon’s own service, and more. By adding more musical content options to its platform, Amazon opens doors to drawing in new customers while keeping current ones happy.

Amazon could play strict with its Alexa Echo’s system. The company could lock out all competitors from its platform. Doing so would prove self-defeating. Amazon can’t keep customers pleased by denying them what they want. A platform offering a greater selection of music options would take listeners away. Amazon understands this. So, the tech giant relents and allows Apple to the system. Again, this could be the start of many new ventures between the two. For now, users of Alexa and Echo Speakers can remain content with their expanded listening options.

Tech fans don’t like to experience limitations. Amazon sensibly bows to customer needs. Customers, essentially, determine Amazon’s financial success or failure.
