Price News For The Galaxy S9 And S9 Plus

Tech manufacturing giant Samsung just recently announced specifications, pictures, and release dates of its upcoming Galaxy S9.

News indicates that the most affordable means of purchasing the phone is directly through Samsung itself, though big-box wireless phone and internet retailers may offer trade-in discounts so substantial that their price increases may be offset by.

Preorders for the Samsung Galaxy S9 will start being taken on March 2, 2018, with sales initializing two weeks afterwards, on March 16.

Buying Directly Through Samsung

Consumers will find Samsung Galaxy S9 smartphones for $719.99, whereas its upgraded sister phone, the S9 Plus, will retail for $839.99.

Those unable or unwilling to purchase the phone outright with cash can finance its purchase for 24 months at $30 per month, or $35 monthly for the same period for the S9 Plus.

AT&T

AT&T will begin retailing the S9 for $790.20, with its Plus counterpart retailing at $915. Consumers will find 30-month contracts for $26.34 per month, and $30.50 monthly, respectively.

The company is not offering any trade-in plans. At least, if they are, they have not been announced, as of yet.

Verizon

Consumers can expect to shell out $800 for the S9; $930 for the S9 Plus. To defer payment over 24 months, monthly payments will amount to $33.33 and $38.74 for the S9 and S9 Plus, respectively.

Trade-in values range anywhere from $100 to $350 on either the S9 or S9 Plus, given you purchase the phone on an installment basis and the trade-in device is in good working condition. To maximize the trade in value at $350, consumers must swap either a Galaxy S8, iPhone 8, or any newer model. Many of 2017’s hottest phones bring home $300, whereas phones from 2016 and 2015 can bring up to $200. At the low end of the spectrum, Galaxy S5 and iPhone SE models can fetch $100. Better than nothing, right?

T-Mobile

People interested in Samsung’s newest smartphone release will have to fork over $30 or $35 for the following 24 months for the S9 and S9 Plus, though they’re required to put down at least $120.

Consumers can get back up to $360 off for trading in iPhone 6s, Galaxy S7, and other models. The lower end of T-Mobile’s trade-in spectrum is an impressive $200 for outdated phones like the iPhone 5S and Galaxy S4. Consumers must remain with T-Mobile to take advantage of these bill credits.
